Self-Awareness is the Secret Sauce to Controlling Your Anger!

Self-Awareness is the secret to become a person who does not easily get angry.

Not your surroundings.

Not the behavior of your friends.

Not your past.

Not your present situation.


The main reason you get angry and keep on being provoked into becoming an angry person is that you are too passive because you are letting your emotions control you.

You look into the other person’s eye who is making you lose your cool, and then without knowing it, you are trying to pick a fight. You continually lure right into it: poked and prodded with words and insults until you are ready to throw every punch in the form of angry words at the person who is irritating you.

Because you have not developed the ability to recognize feelings as they happen, you react and become your worst nightmare.

Why not do the opposite? Why not be in control instead of the other way around?

The only thing that is going to no longer let anger reside in you permanently is you becoming self-aware. You should not settle for anything less.

Look at where anger has gotten you. You are having a crisis in your relationships. Your work is affected because of your loss of control on most days. You are stressed out. And you can’t even remember a time when you were truly peaceful and free of anger.

Be honest.

It is NOT what surrounds you that is making you surrender to anger again and again.

It is NOT the circumstances surrounding you or the current or past situation that is making you angry all the time.

It is YOU.

You are the common denominator in all of your waves of anger!

We all know that life is hard, but we also know that we can and should make the journey less difficult by not becoming the enemy of ourselves.

You will most likely become your worst enemy if you are not able to control the deadly emotion called anger.

Instead of looking at external sources that you think are making you angry, start looking at yourself.

The truth is this:

Unless you are self-aware, unless you develop the habit of becoming conscious of your emotions on a daily basis, you will never win over anger.

Because there will always be things that make us furious. There will always be people who will make us angry beyond our imaginations.

We will always be on an endless journey that will never lead us to a peaceful, calm and proactive life unless we acknowledge the fact that we are the only ones who can do something about our emotions.

To manage anger, we have to look within ourselves.

We get sucked back into anger repeatedly because we let others control us because we do not take responsibilities for our emotions because we do not uphold ourselves the way we should.

It’s not something on the outside that presents the greatest challenge to our anger, but only what’s inside that prevents us from managing and controlling our anger. Permanently.
